As we bid farewell to another summer in Blighty, the last golden rays of the setting sun succumb to the chill of the evening, it seemed fitting to throw on a couple of layers and stretch my legs for a walk across this green and pleasant land... did I forget to mention the sound of machine gun fire from the marine training camp about half a mile away????? (Peace and quiet well and truly shattered!!) >>
I must say I'm looking forward to putting on the layers this year, you know... gloves, scarves and maybe a hat too.
Is there anything tucked away for the autumn that you're looking forward to unpacking?

LOVE this check shirt... all these colours are perfect for this time of year! You just can't beat a man with a beard in a cardigan ;)
ReplyDeleteCatherine, Not Dressed As Lamb x
Why thank you.. I'm sure both beard and cardigan will be with me for the winter!

DeleteWell done Keith.....welcome to the blogging world
ReplyDeleteAlthough you probably know more about it than most of us on here with having such a wonderful blogger wife :)
congrats xx
Thank you Gail, everyone has been so supportive. You're right about Catherine, she has a wealth of knowledge that has made the whole setup fairly painless for me.
DeleteLove this look!
ReplyDeleteA good cardigan is a must and i too am looking forward to layering up again!
A cardy under a good blazer always looks great.
keep em coming Keith... loving it!!
Thanks Jamie, there's something about layering that really adds interest to an outfit isn't there? Here's to the foggy mornings and chilly days where a peacoat and gloves will be hanging by the front door. Nice!
Deletelooking super sharp! love the plaid and cardigan combo!

Hey Kelsey, thanks for the comments. Your blog is really inspirational and Jake is too cool (and he has a better beard than me...damn)!
DeleteWelcome to the blogging world Keith! With a bad ass beard like that, you can't loose!
ReplyDeleteThank you Keit... a bad ass beard - now that's the kind of beard EVERY man should aim to have!
DeleteOooh...sorry to hear about the machine-gun fire, dear Keith; that would have given me a fright, too!! An absolutely perfect look for a late summer stroll in the countryside...or to run a few errands in the suburbs!! You are rocking that cardigan!! P.S. Can you please tell my husband that it IS possible to find a comfortable walking shoe...he refuses to believe me!!
ReplyDeletewww.StyleIsMyPudding.blogspot.com
Thanks Monika and YES, you can get a great pair of walking shoes!
DeleteThese Cats are extremely comfy but if you want proper walking ones, I would go for a pair of Merrells. My pair did me proud whilst on hols in the Grand Canyon a couple of years back!
I've been following your wife's blog for quite a while. I think my partner will like yours now too. Your style is great but classic enough and not too "out there" so I think he'd feel comfortable getting inspiration from you. You two even look a bit alike, though he's greying in reverse to you: beard first, hair second. (If you're curious, he sometimes shows up in my posts on my blog.)

Hi Charlotte, many thanks for your comments. I was just saying to the wife that you've summed up my intention for this blog far more accurately than I have thus far!
DeleteI'm glad to hear you say that I'm not too out there..I will always endeavour to be smart, where that takes me is half the adventure really. If anyone can get even a "smidge" of inspiration from what I wear, that is fantastic.
Thanks again for your kind words, I'll be over to say hi soon...
