Hi there everyone.
Today I've decided to push the boat out with this blue Reiss suit, orange tie and matching pocket square with brogues. It has to be said that you get what you pay for and, well... this suit is so comfortable and well made, it's certainly worth investing in "the one" that will make you look absolutely bang on trend AND turn heads!
My flagrant use of orange is also a bold move that really stands out against the dark suit, as is the flash of the same colour in my socks... it's all about orange here, isn't it? >>
Okay, I'll be honest with you, I don't go to the shops dressed like this or wander the streets looking for the perfect photo opportunity to show off an array of expensive garments I happen to have in my wardrobe. What you see here is probably the sum total of all my reeeeally nice clothes and they are very "nice" indeed. I'm certain to be back to reality with what I do wear on a regular basis, so stay with me, I haven't gone all faux Italian-Manhattan chic on you (not yet anyway, I can't afford it)!
Do you have a really well made piece of clothing that is treated with god-like status in your wardrobe? If so, what is it and where do you keep it, let me know here I'd love for you to tell me... just so I know I'm not the only one who does it!

Nice outfit!! I love how you used orange for this outfit (tie, pocket square, and socks). Very inspiring, and looking for your next post. :))

Hey Kenji, thanks for your comments, I'd seen this orange combi on Pinterest a while back, and it's been buzzing around in my head as to how I could use it. This is one of those outfits that hits all the marks... down to the cut of a nice suit for sure.
ReplyDeleteHope you're well, I'll swing by your blog later!

Hi David, you can't go wrong with a blue suit can you? Coupled with a really nice matching tie and pocket square and there you have it, stylish and simplicity..
DeleteThanks for commenting and I hope to hear from you again, have a great weekend!

Thanks Greetje, you are too kind. This is a lovely suit and I was really looking forward to wearing it with the orange!
DeleteHope you are well
Keith
Love the top-stitching detail on the lapels of your suit jacket, dear Keith...so cool!! And the touches of orange you've added with your tie and pocket square - and even your socks! - make this look both classic and a little edgy!! Two thumbs up!! P.S. The only really "fancy" piece I have in my wardrobe that doesn't get regularly worn is my wedding gown!! ;)

Ha ha.. not one for a fancy evening out with the old man really!!!
DeleteVery observant of you regarding the stitching, this is Catherine's fave bit about the suit as well.
I thought the matching tie and pocket square would really accentuate the lovely cut and detail of the outfit, I think it really does!
Speak again soon
Keith
Hi Keith, just came across your photo when doing a Google search, I've just ordered a similar tie to yours, which I hope is just as much bright. I've gone for a bit of an extreme approach and got myself a pair of patent orange shoes. And an orange belt, I just hope I can pull it off for a wedding I'm attending. My suit is more of a royal blue, which I'll match with a white shirt.
ReplyDeleteI do like your combination and maybe it is the safer choice we'll see.
